The Roman Road to Salvation

I consider myself a ‘good person’… won’t that be enough?

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

No matter who you are or what you have accomplished, at some point you have sinned and stepped out of the will of God.  The only person that lived a perfect sin-free life was Jesus. ALL have sinned…

romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”

Because we have sinned, ours choices to do so come with a price, which is death.  Not a physical death but a spiritual death. If your spirit is dead then you are not able to enter into a spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ.  As a result, because of sin we would be destined for eternal damnation (Hell).

Is sin really THAT big of a deal? If it is… what HOPE is there?

After what I’ve done to grieve God… HOW could He willingly die in my place?

Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”

Since God knew that we would sin and end up on the pathway to eternal damnation, He had a plan.  His plan was for His son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for all of our sins so that we would not have to.

romans 10:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”

The only requirement to receive eternal life through Jesus Christ is to accept Him as your Lord and your Savior.  Acceptance comes through confessing Him from your heart and not your head.

HOW can I be saved?

Did God HEAR me? Did He accept me?

Romans 10:13

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”

Salvation is offered to any one that chooses to receive Him.  Salvation has nothing to do with your race, gender, socio-economic status, political party, nor your past.  Jesus did all the work for you. All that you need to do is Accept, Believe, and Confess (ABC’s). Instantly you will be saved and set free!
